A CAR transporter which was parked in a layby on the A3 between Horndean and Clanfield was recently targeted by petrol thieves.

The culprits stole a large amount of diesel after breaking the lock on the vehicle’s fuel tank some time between 10pm last Thursday, November 30, and 6.30am the following morning.
