TEAMWORK was the drug of choice when ten volunteers from a pharmaceutical firm in Havant pitched in at Butser Ancient Farm (BAF).
Some of the Pfizer workers spent Monday sorting a large pile of Roman mosaic remains, or tesserae, while others loaded and transported wheelbarrows full of flint from one end of the site to the other. The volunteering exercise was the latest in a series organised around the Havant and south of Butser area by Community First.
One of the volunteers said: “It’s been a great day out of the office in the countryside, with a diverse group working together with great team spirit.”
BAF director Maureen Page praised the “lovely group” for their efforts, while staff member Sue Webber enjoyed leading the team.
She said: “I think this is a great opportunity for people to get out of the workplace, visit somewhere new and work together.”
