SUN LOVERS have been enjoying the sunflower festival on farm fields alongside the A272, half a mile east of Rogate.

The fields are owned by the Davey farming family, and host car-boot sales on Sundays and the annual Pumpkin Patch Festival.

And this year’s inaugural ‘pick your own’ sunflower festival is proving popular with hundreds of visitors.

Sophie Davey said: “It’s been amazing, people have said such nice things – the field of sunflowers is spectacular, and the festival still has a week left to run.

“Normally at this time of year we would be prepping for our annual sweetcorn festival, but visitors will still be able to buy our delicious sweetcorn, grown in fields alongside the sunflowers.”

Free on-site parking is available to visitors, and for more information visit the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/rogatepumpkinpatch
