THE BRAMSHOTT and Liphook Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) steering group has held its latest meeting.

The NDP steering group listened to a presentation from Liss Parish Council chairman Roger Hargreaves at the meeting.

Cllr Hargreaves played a key role in delivering the Liss NDP, and Bramshott and Liphook NDP steering group members heard his first-hand experience of drafting and completing a neighbourhood development plan and the challenges that were faced in Liss along the way.

The NDP steering group also discussed a presentation from East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) on its future plans for the Local Plan, including the introduction of new legislative requirements for neighbourhood development plans and housing allocation.

During the meeting, the NDP steering group discussed how it has arrived at a stage of the NDP where it has to take stock and consider a number of “moving parts”.

Therefore, it will be seeking clarity on a number of issues from the two supportive planning authorities, the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) and EHDC, on their plans for the future including, among other topics, housing allocation and the Atkins transport feasibility study.

The NDP steering group view the NDP as “business as usual” and look forward to the interim report from the consultant and planning the next steps.
