A PLANNING application has been submitted for a single-storey extension to the existing building, extending one of the rooms, at the Newman Collard pavilion, Hill Brow Road, Liss.

And Newman Collard Playing Fields trustee Roger Mullenger says the extension would allow other groups to use the pavilion.

“First of all we’re applying for the extension out of our own funds,” said Roger.

“The extension won’t extend the height of the building and it will make it a square instead of an L shape.

“We have very limited space and the extension would allow us to rent out the pavilion to local groups and organisations.

“If we get planning permission it would go out to tender and we would probably be looking to start the work in April 2017.

“We would expect the work to last for six weeks.”
