AMBITIOUS plans to transform the heart of a green attraction near East Meon have gone on show to the public.
Visitors to the Sustainability Centre have been urged to comment on proposals for a new learning centre at the Leydene site.
The project is aimed at transforming the 55-acre learning centre into a welcoming and eco-friendly destination for visitors.
Bosses want to transform the former HMS Mercury building with an “imaginative eco-renovation” using natural building techniques and local and sustainable materials.
They have decided to hold a public consultation exhibition as they are close to submitting a full planning application to the South Downs National Park Authority. The plans drawn up by Archetype Architects will be displayed in the main foyer for the remainder of the week during opening hours, until 2pm Sunday.
