HUNDREDS of families flocked to this year’s Pumpkin Patch event on farmland owned by the Davey family at Rogate during the half term holiday.

Youngsters and parents could enjoy carving spooky pumpkin faces, fire pumpkins from catapults, be king, or queen, of the hay bale castle, blow gigantic soapy water bubbles, get face painted with scary Hallowe’en designs, admire the giant man made spiders and scarecrows and slide down a huge helter skelter.

The patch was also visited by the Pumpkin Princess, who spread pumpkin princess dust far and wide, before awarding prizes for the best spooky outfit.
