HUNDREDS of people enjoyed East Meon Country Fair on the village green on Bank Holiday Monday, despite the cooler weather.

Highlights of the afternoon, said one mother from Petersfield, was the fun dog show, and the live music.
The tombola scored highly with youngsters, most of whom walked away with a prize, and The Sheep Show from Norfolk was also a big hit with the crowds.
Matts Hog Roast did a roaring business, as did the many stalls, and the real ale tent. Friends of East?Meon school organised games for the children, much to the youngsters’ delight.
A thatched dog house was raffled, and the woolly hat competition, in keeping with the show theme, ‘All Things Woolly,’ attracted some fine entries.
