ALFRESCO poetry amid the flowers, fruit and vegetables was a delight at Petersfield Community Garden in Waterworks Lane in Sheet.

This new event was part of the South Downs Poetry Festival. Poetry circuit veteran Audi Maserati (pictured), of Petersfield, a star turn at a Poetry and Pints evening at the nearby Harrow Inn, recited a poignant love poem, and there were also offerings on gardens and daytrippers. Eight-year-old Tulucia (pictured), who loves helping out in the garden, picked peas for everyone to enjoy.
