HAMPSHIRE Police is appealing for information after a number of break-ins in Liss.

Liss Athletic Football Club’s groundsman’s shed at Newman Collard was broken into between 10pm on January 7 and 7am on January 8.

A ride on mower and two hedge trimmers were taken. The mower was later recovered on the track facing towards Old Longmoor Road, Greatham. Trimmers worth £350 and £299 are still missing. The crime reference number is 44160011849.

Newman Collard Pavilion was broken into between 10.30pm on January 7 and 7am on January 8. A window was forced to get in. There was an untidy search and some soft drinks were taken. The crime reference number is 44160011059.

Liss Parish Hall was broken into between 10pm on January 7 and 7.30am on January 8. A rear window was forced to get in, and again there was an untidy search. Approximately £90 was stolen from a cash bag, and an exit was made via the window at the front of the building. The crime reference number is 44160011056.

Liss Horticultural Society’s hut at the Rake Road allotments, Liss, was broken into between 9am on January 5 and 10am on January 8. A door was forced into the allotment shed. There was an untidy search but nothing was taken. The shed only contained bags of compost. The crime reference number is 44160011239.

Meanwhile Sussex Police were called at around 7.25am on January 8 after a report that Rake Primary School on London Road, Rake, had been broken into. It is believed a small amount of cash was taken. Five units at a neighbouring industrial estate, also at London Road, had also been broken into or showed evidence of an attempted break-in. Witnesses should call Police on 101.
