PETERSFIELD police are appealing for witnesses after a break in and attempted entry at two houses in the town.

Overnight on the March 11 a house in Tilmore Gardens was entered and jewellery stolen. There was also an attempt break in to a home Durford Road, but fortunately the thieves couldn’t get in.

East Hampshire Police Community Support Officer Tobey Mason based at Petersfield police station said: ” It is not too late to report any suspicious activity to police, and please ensure you are vigilant at all times, calling police to report any suspicious activity, not just around your own property but anything suspicious in your residential area and community.”
