The warning comes from the Butser Neighbourhood Police team as several garages and sheds in the two villages were burgled early this week.
“If you have anything of value in your sheds and garages then please take extra care and try and secure them to the building so they become difficult to remove,” said a spokeswoman.
“Chaining a number of items together or securing them to the floor. Installing security lights and an alarm will also put intruders off.”
