POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a head-on collision near Selborne left a car driver dead.
Police have launched an investigation after the incident, which involved a silver Vauxhall Corsa and a Peugeot Boxer van and happened at about 4.40pm on Monday, October 24.
The vehicles were driving down the narrow Hartley Lane in Hartley Mauditt, which is between Selborne and Wordlham, when they collided head on.
The 40-year-old driver of the Corsa was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Hampshire Police spokesman said: "The driver of the van and his passenger suffered minor injuries and were both taken to North Hampshire Hospital as a precaution.
"Next of kin have been made aware and are being supported by our officers.”
