MORE than 65 dog wardens and animal welfare officers, including one from Malta, attended an East Hampshire District Council’s seminar on animal welfare in Petersfield.

Among them was animal welfare co-ordinator for the Government of Malta Dennis Sciberras.

He said: “I will be able to adapt much of what has been discussed here and take it back to Malta.”

He has been in contact with the district council since East Hampshire District Council animal welfare officer Neil Burton visited Malta to offer training to the island’s officers.
