WINCHESTER City Council’s leader has announced the new cabinet group.
Cllr Stephen Godfrey said: “My cabinet will focus on supporting the local economy and people who need our help, and improving the way the council works.
“We will continue building council homes, support for apprenticeships, helping people back to work, whilst caring for the environment.”
The full cabinet is Cllr Stephen Godfrey, leader; Cllr Vicki Weston, deputy leader; with members Cllr Steve Miller, Cllr Frank Pearson, Cllr Rob Humby, Cllr James Byrnes, and Cllr Caroline Horrill.
Cllr Godfrey added: “We will make best use of taxpayers’ money and ensure our services are the best they can be.
“Over the last couple of years, there have been some real improvements in the way the council works and engages with residents. We will work harder than ever to continue that progress, making Winchester a better place for everyone.”
