The application by The Petersfield School (TPS) and Bohunt School in Liphook should be decided by the end of March, said TPS headteacher Nigel Poole.
But the partnership behind the sixth form proposal refuses to be drawn on likely premises, only to say it must be within a few minutes' walk of Petersfield rail station.
