THE MAYOR of Petersfield Jamie Matthews will be cutting the ribbon to open the annual Save the Children ‘Big Sale’ in the Festival Hall.

Sale spokesman Carol Surman said: “Come and join us for three days of shopping at the Big Sale. There will be a huge selection of new and good-as-new clothing and shoes for all the family, many of them with the original price tags. There will also be homeware, a designer room and a cafe. So if you’re looking for a new outfit, tired of your current wardrobe, or just want to have a good time

pop along to the Big Sale and help raise funds for disadvantaged children in the UK and throughout the world.”

The sale is one of the branch’s biggest fundraisers, contributing to Petersfield’s reputation as a major supporter of the charity.

The fair opens from 10am to 7pm on April 20, and entry – on that day only – is £2.

On April 21, it is free entry and open from 9am to 4pm.

And on ‘Shoppers Super Sunday’, April 22, it is again free entry and the sale opens at 10am, and until noon everything is half price, then from 2pm to 3pm bargain hunters can fill a black bin bag with as much as they like for £10.
