ARTIST Olly Coulson sold 14 of the 31 works on display at a private viewing of his new exhibition Through Olly’s Eyes at the Allen Gallery in Alton last Friday evening.

It was attended by Alton’s Deputy Town Mayor Cllr Ginny Boxall plus Treloar’s chief executive Ryan Campbell and fundraising director Jon Colville.

Olly, who lives in Petersfield, went to Treloar’s in 1999 at the age of 14 when his family moved to Four Marks. He suffered a brain injury when knocked off his bike as an eight-year-old living in Holland in 1993, and Olly said his “passion for art” started at Treloar’s.

His art shows vibrant use of colour, particularly the paint on canvas work. Goodnight Felix – a black cat in a tree lit by the moon – has a night sky of many hues.

Olly is pictured with Ginny Boxall and his parents, John and Jackie Coulson, by one of his favourites, The Happy Knitters.

The exhibition runs until March 27. It is open from 10.30am until 3.30pm, except on Mondays and Wednesdays.
