‘HUNDREDS and hundreds’ of nominations for this year’s Petersfield Awards have been whittled down to four-strong shortlists in each of the 19 categories.

An independent panel of judges (pictured) selected shortlists for all categories and chose the winners in some categories.

Winners of the remaining six shortlists will be voted for by the public during September and early October.

All being well, the awards evening, hosted by Petersfield Awards organiser Steve Jacobs and Ben Errey, will take place at Churcher’s College in late October.

Steve said: “We received hundreds and hundreds of nominations over the past eight weeks and we are so happy to see everyone being so passionate about supporting these awards in our home town.

“The judges had a very hard job compiling the shortlists, and choosing winners in 13 of the categories.

“We will be announcing the shortlists before the end of August.

“The awards ceremony evening, live or streamed, will be at the end of October.”
