EAST Hampshire residents hoping to hold a street party to celebrate The Queens 90th birthday are reminded the paperwork needs to be in soon.
Celebrations marking Her Majesty’s official birthday start on Friday, June 10, and continue to June 12.
For a street party, the road should be closed to vehicles, advises East Hampshire District Council.
A spokesman for the Petersfield based council said: “A road closure order takes about six weeks to process.”
And if it is intended that drinks are sold and music played, an events licence maybe required.
But to help the party go with a swing, councillor grants can help cover costs.
