PULLING in the punters for top quality beverages, fine food and a great entertainment line-up will be the popular annual Petersfield Beer and Cider Festival.

Organisers at Hometown Festivals are bringing beer and cider lovers many more tipples from new breweries this year, with opportunities to sink a pint at three sessions over two days.

These are from 6pm to 11pm on Friday, February 26; and noon to 5pm, and 6pm to 11pm on Saturday, February 27.

Beers and ciders on tap at the event at the Festival Hall will be coming from breweries including Ballards, Upham, Staggeringly Good, Bowmans Ales, Langham, Frensham, Irving & Co, Hogsback and The Little Beer Corporation.

Entry will be £6 per person to include a souvenir pint glass. Tokens will be available permitting visitors to sample drinks in multiples of a third of a pint to give a flavour of what’s on offer.

There will be a secondary bar with wine, and a selection of spirits and soft drinks. Curries and pork pies will also be on sale.

Much of the music, including folk, blues, rock, soul and traditional Irish songs, will come from Petersfield and Hampshire-based bands and artists including Emmay, The Mantic Muddlers and Megan Linford. See the Post’s entertainments pages next week for the full line-up.
