A CHARITY fundraising meal will be held at the Madhuban in Liss.
The meal is open to all members of the public from 6.30pm onwards next Wednesday, October 3.
All profits from the night will be donated equally to the Rural Refugee Network and Children On The Edge, which aims to help people suffering due to the ongoing Syrian civil war.
Bedar Miah, who runs the Madhuban, said: “We’ve always been involved with local charities and my heart goes out to refugees forced to leave their homelands.
“It’s our responsibility as human beings to help others in need no matter who they are. We’re very lucky not to be in their shoes. Similarly, as Muslims, charity is part of our lifestyle, there are five pillars of Islam and one of them is charity.
“What’s more, by hosting the event it is a way for us to say thank you to the community for supporting our business for the many years we have been here.”
