AN INSPECTION of Petersfield Festival Hall roof prompted by damp in the offices below has revealed some minor damage to the lead sheeting under coping stones on the roof parapet.

Some of the welted joints in the lead were found to be missing which could account for water coming in during driving rain. The inspection report to Petersfield Town Council recommends that an extra layer of ‘torch on’ felt should be installed over the lead during the planned removal and re-bedding of the coping stones.
