RESIDENTS have voted in favour of planners using the East Meon neighbourhood plan to help decide planning applications in the village.

The results of the referendum asking: “should South Downs National Park Authority use the plan to help decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area” saw 303 residents vote yes, and 58 vote no.
There were no spoilt ballot papers in the village referendum run by East Hampshire District Council on Thursday, November 9, and 37 per cent of the 972 residents eligible to vote did so.
