SINCE The Grazing Rooms restaurant at Sky Park Farm opened in November 2021, it is fast gaining a reputation for quality dishes made from very local produce, with venison from the farm featuring on its menu.

The most recent addition is the monthly Dinner Series – all of the £85-a-ticket evenings have sold out so far.

Working with local wine distributors and vineyards, executive head chef Matt Crow and the team produce a sensational five course tasting menu from ‘excellent’ local produce.

Each course provides a sensual journey of colour and taste while the flavour and aroma of each wine is carefully chosen to enhance each dish.

“We were transported to another culinary world not often found in our corner of the Hampshire/Sussex border. It was a five star dining experience,” said one guest.

Served with a glass of local sparkling wine, guests are treated to an amuse-bouche, a single, bite-sized hors d’œuvre.

Amuse-bouches are different from appetizers in that they are not on a menu.

They are served according to the chef’s selection alone to prepare the guest for the meal and to offer a glimpse of the chef’s style.

The next courses feature a starter, fish course, main course and dessert.

The five course tasting menu changes for each Dinner Series evening.

Matt said: “We pride ourselves on culinary excellence across all our Grazing Rooms menus.

“The Dinner Series gives us the opportunity to showcase our creative passion as chefs whilst giving the local community an occasion to enjoy a unique food experience.

“Using seasonal ingredients enables us to work closely with our local suppliers.

“This allows the flavours of the quality produce to be shared and rewards the team by producing delicious food and working with the best suppliers.”

The next Dinner Series evenings will take place on May 20 from 6.30pm.

The five course tasting menu includes paired wines with each course, with tables of up to six places for groups.

Day to day the restaurant serves, coffee, wines and other cold drinks, breakfast, a light lunch of sharing plates, and a main menu, we have something for everyone.

It sources 40 per cent of its food from within 30 miles, with a further 40 per cent from within Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex.
