THE HAMPSHIRE branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) environmental charity has announced it has a new chief executive.
Charlee Bennett joins CPRE Hampshire from Save the Children’s head office in London, where she led on the UK Poverty campaign.
Before that Charlee, who has a degree in oceanography with physical geography from the University of Southampton, worked for World Animal Protection on global campaigns.
She said: “I’m looking forward to working with CPRE Hampshire staff, volunteers and supporters to protect and maintain our beautiful surroundings.
“We believe that together we can protect our natural environment, keeping Hampshire a place to work, relax, recreate and enjoy for future generations.”
