The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of September 11 but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

Works to the A3:

A3 Stoke to Compton Guildford, Surrey: Carriageway resurfacing

Work to improve road user safety by resurfacing sections of the A3 carriageway in Guildford takes place this week. The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Tuesday 15 September. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via Stoke Road, Farnham Road and the B3000.

A3 Hog’s Back to Thursley, Surrey: Vehicle detector loop installation

Work to improve road user information by installing vehicle detector equipment is taking place this week. The southbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Thursday 17 September. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A31 and A325.

A3 Hindhead Tunnel, Surrey: Routine maintenance

Work to maintain road user safety in the Hindhead Tunnel takes place this week. The northbound bore will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 14 September for 4 nights. Road users will be diverted through the southbound bore in contraflow with a 40mph speed limit in place in both directions.

A3 Longmoor to Compton, Hampshire and Surrey: Vehicle detector loop installation

Work to improve road user information by installing vehicle detector equipment is taking place this week. The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, on Friday 18 September. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A325 and A31.

A3(M) junctions 5 Bedhampton to 4 Purbrook, Hampshire: Carriageway resurfacing

Work to improve road user safety by resurfacing the A3(M) northbound carriageway takes place this week. The northbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Monday 14 September for 5 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the B2177 and B2150.
