PUPILS from Rogate Church of England primary school created a poppy ‘wreath’ for a Remembrance Day service in the village church, St Bartholomew’s.
A school spokesman said: “Every child in the school drew round their hands on red paper, cut them out and then stuck them on fingers outward to create the poppy.”
The service took place on Thursday, November 9, and long time resident of the village said he was deeply impressed by the turnout and behaviour of the children.
Head teacher Amey O’Toole added: “The school staff were incredibly proud of them all.”
