THE NEXT instalment at Sheet Film Club is Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s A Very Long Engagement on Thursday, May 12, in Sheet village hall.

The film, starring Audrey Tatou, follows the lives of five desperate French soldiers during The Battle of the Somme who shoot themselves by accident or on purpose in order to be sent back home. The film starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £6 on the door
