TRIBUTES have been paid to a former chairman of the Friends of Petersfield Physic Garden committee, and a volunteer at the garden, both of whom passed away in March.
Susan Bilson collapsed on Sunday, March 20, and died a few days afterward.
A spokesman for the Friends of Petersfield Physic Garden, Tony Smee, said: “It is impossible to say what a huge loss this is as Susan has been so much a part of ‘The Garden.’ She was chairman for three years from 2000. But she is remembered best for her organisational skills.
“She will be sadly missed and our thoughts are with her family at this time.”
Mary Wood has also died aged 94. She became a Friend of the Garden in 1996, and ‘wardened’ there most Sundays.
In December 2010 she moved to Cambridge to be with her son.
