OLIVIER Award-winning actress Sara Crowe returns to the city she grew up in to star in a comedy of gastronmic proportions.
And she is delighted to be on stage in Marc Camolett’s fantastic, fast-paced farce Don’t Dress for Dinner at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford which has fond memories for her.
“The Yvonne Arnaud has been a big part of my life since I was 14,” said Sara, who still lives in the area.
“The first production I ever took part in was at the Arnaud. It was A?Comedy of Errors for Surrey Youth Theatre. I thought I had died and gone to heaven.
“And it’s lovely to be able to live at home when the show comes to town.”
The play, which runs from June 19 to 24, blends duplicity, extramarital affairs and gourmet cooking.
As his wife is away, Bernard decides it’s the perfect opportunity to invite his gorgeous Parisian mistress Suzanne to his charming converted French farmhouse for the weekend.
He also invites his best friend Robert, and chef Suzette to cook up a treat. What could possibly go wrong? To book and for more information, call the box office on 01483 440077.
