A FUNDRAISING campaign has been launched, to help pay for Petersfield's skateboard park extension.
Youngsters who use the skateboard park are being urged to save up their small change in collecting tins.
And the ‘Save 1p a Day’ tins are also going in Petersfield shops and businesses – including the High Street office of the Post.
It is hoped they will help raise £10,000 toward the £150,000 cost of the extension, which will double the size of the park and be accessible for disabled young people and wheelchair users.
Leading the project is the The Festival for Young People co-ordinator Nigel Wells, who has already raised £4,900 toward the £10,000, and is planning school visits to promote the Save 1p a Day tins.
