THE WINDOWS of the empty Clintons unit in Rams Walk have been decorated, thanks to the work of Buriton Primary School children.

Year 6 teacher Emily Holloway asked the owners of the unit if she could decorate the windows with some artwork by some of the children, as the shop is sitting empty in Petersfield town centre.

Mrs Holloway spent an evening after school decorating the shop windows and has created a display to help cheer up the look of Rams Walk.

Pupils have been busy this month, as the school held its annual sports day on July 15.

Only the Year 6 parents were allowed to watch this year because of the pandemic restrictions in place at the time.

It was a wonderful day and the children were in good spirits, cheering each other on.

The weather held out and stayed dry, and it was a huge logistical effort for the school to make sure the races could run while the pupils stayed in their class bubbles and used their own class equipment.
