THE Secrets of the Heath returns this year with a virtual event with something for all ages and interests.

The virtual heathland weekend builds on the success of the event held at Petersfield Heath for the past six years. It starts on Saturday and includes a chance to watch newly-hatched beautiful sand lizard young as they feed.

Over the weekend people will be able to watch virtual tours of heathlands, storytelling sessions, live question and answer sessions with reptile experts, live arts classes, and a fun video revealing how to dress like a Saxon warrior. A new educational trail that tells the story of the history, wildlife and people of heathlands will also be unveiled.
