THERE are reports of a serious collision on the A3 near Hogs Back this afternoon (Wednesday, November 30).

According to Surrey Police, it involved a lorry and a pedestrian, and has been described as “serious” by both Surrey Police and Highways England.

The A3 in both directions has been closed at A31 Farnham Road after the collision at about 2pm, and Surrey Police is at the scene.

Congestion around the A3 closure in both directions goes back to A283 / B3001 Elstead Road and to A320 Woking Road (Stoke Road Interchange).

There are also queues on the A31 to B3000 (Puttenham).

Surrey Police say the A3 at Compton is currently closed in both directions.

Highways England has confirmed the A3 is shut in both directions between B3000 Compton and A31 Guildford, and is asking motorists to find alternative routes.
