AS WELL as films and photographs, this year’s Sheet Film Festival also featured bands – and dancing nuns and their dog.
Hosted by the Queen’s Head pub, the two day event over the May Bank Holiday weekend saw the films and photographs entered in the competition shown in the village hall, while there were festivities in the pub garden.
Joint organiser Gail Martin said: “There were prizes for all the entries and lots of family fun.
“The rain held off for the two days, and the festival was blessed by sunshine.
“There were drinks in the pub garden, and local bands to dance to, which made it all go with a swing.
“Perhaps the newest element was the dancing nuns and their dog, who were perhaps drawn to the festival by a sing-a-long to the songs from the Sound of Music film.
“Maybe they will return for next year’s festival over the same Bank Holiday.”
