PEOPLE in Sheet have thrown down the gauntlet to revellers in Notting Hill after holding a street party of their own.

There was something for everyone at the Sheet Summer Street Party as the July 1 event, in aid of The Rosemary Foundation, featured stalls, games and activities. Some enjoyed the human fruit machine while performances by Sheet School Choir, Churcher’s College String Quartet and Sheet School Choir struck a chord.

Sheet Women’s Institute (WI) served tea, cakes and Pimm’s in Sheet House and the village hall hosted an art exhibition. A barbecue, bar and barn dance in Village Street also pulled in the crowds before the event, organised by the Sheet Association, finished with a duck race.
