Sheet Women's Institute to meet in new hall

A BANNER made by members of Sheet Women’s Institute (WI) has pride of place on display in Petersfield library.

Sheet WI spokesman Wendy Butterfield said: “The banner records members’ experiences of the lockdowns.”

Members meet on the first Thursday of the month, and tonight (October 7) meet at 7.30pm in their new venue, Herne Farm Leisure Centre off Moggs Mead.

This is only their second meeting there, after the WI switched venues from Sheet village hall to the leisure centre.

Tonight members will talk about their lives while living in countries far from Europe, and there will be a seasonal produce sales table to raise money for the FitzRoy charity.
