FAMILIES of pupils at Herne Junior School in Petersfield are being asked to contribute to a Christmas shoebox appeal.

The youngsters are to be told about the work of the Samaritan’s Purse which organises the appeal, and then encouraged to bring in shoeboxes filled with gifts for disadvantaged children around the world.

These need to be taken into school by November 13.
