MINNIE Mouse and Peppa Pig were some of the characters rattling collection buckets for Cancer Research in Petersfield on Friday (February 3).

Volunteers at the Cancer Research shop in High Street braved the rain to collect cash from people around town.

They dressed up to mark World Cancer Day on Saturday (February 4).

Annabel Rooney (38), who was Minnie, is a volunteer at the shop. She thanked Petersfield residents for their much-needed donations.

“People have been very generous and we are very grateful,” she said.

Cathrine Anderson dressed as Peppa Pig and Mary-Anne Draycott, donned a sparkly wig. They are both shop volunteers.

Shop manager Tracey Kill said volunteers for afternoons and Saturdays were needed. Contact her on 01730 231584 with offers of help.
