EAST HAMPSHIRE youngsters enjoyed half term encounters with a swamp thing as Shrek dropped into play sessions.

The Disney swamp ogre helped out with activity sessions across the district.

He was impressed with their handiwork as ogre’s feet, fairy tale glass jars and ‘swamp-mallows’ were all produced during the Rural Areas Play Project (RAPP) sessions.

“Everyone had a lot of fun,” said RAPP co-ordinator Lisa Clements.
