DARK secrets hidden in the murky mists of time is the intriguing premise of a black comedy being put on by Petersfield’s Lion and Unicorn players.

Two Sisters, by Caroline Harding, is set in a small village in 1880s Russia, where the eponymous sisters, Anya and Sonia, are goaded into recollecting things they would rather forget from their past, after the bizarre discovery of an empty coffin in their lodging.

Ali Hill and Laura Sheppard take on the title roles, and they are being directed by Sam Gaffney who is studying theatre direction at university.

He was also at the helm of the very successful God of Carnage put on two years ago by Lion and Unicorn.

Both Ali and Laura are experienced, talented actresses, so this promises to be a great show.

To enhance the experience, with Two Sisters on at Sheet Village Hall on April 21 and 22 at 8pm, the first half of the evening will be given over to prose and poetry on a sisterly theme.

Tickets are £6 and are available from One Tree Books, Lavant Street, Petersfield, or online at www.lionandunicornplayers.co.uk
