ALTHOUGH there wasn’t as much snow here as predicted on Thursday, the hills and high points around Petersfield got a decent covering.
The snow came down overnight on January 12 and places like Harting Hill got a couple of inches.
Uppark House looked picturesque with a white coating around it, and Borden near Milland was wintery in the cold sunshine.
Froxfield and Priors Dean also got an inch or two, and the top of Stoner Hill had a generous carpet of the white stuff.

Rake, Liss, Hawkley and Colemore all got a dusting, and where the low winter sun didn’t warm on Friday, the snow remained.
And that could be it for snow in East Hampshire this winter; the Met Office says the forecast until Wednesday, January 18, will feature wintry showers over the weekend, then brighter, and colder – but little, or no, likely hood of snow.
