WITH all the schools in Petersfield and in the surrounding villages closed today (March 2) thanks to the weather, youngsters are enjoying another day of snow fun.

Yesterday saw them out sledging on The Heath, snowballing, building snowmen and just having a ball.

For many it was their first experience of the white stuff, the last serious snow in Petersfield was 2010, and as pictures sent by mums and parents to The Post show, the children loved it every minute of it.

But with a thaw forecast, it might be another eight years before the sledges are needed again.
