PETERSFIELD certainly is the place to be for plenty of Bank Holiday fun this weekend.

There is so much going on at the town’s annual Summer Festival.

The event gets under way on Saturday evening from 7-10pm with live music in The Square and stalls will be open selling food and drink.

On Sunday the fun runs from 10am through to 10pm. Dozens of stalls will line High Street and The Square from 10am-4pm, and the Post’s Summer Motor Show will be on in Chapel Street and Lavant Street.

The Animal Magic petting enclosure returns to the festival on Sunday and Monday, including everything from meerkats and possums to snakes and lizards to touch.

Children’s entertainer Strawberry Dan will be keeping youngsters entertained with his antics on Sunday and Monday, and a number of children’s rides will be set up around the town centre.

Sunday’s part of the festival is open from 10am-4pm, with stalls once again lining High Street and The Square.

The Solent Renegrades will be putting on a display of American classics and hot rods throughout the day but it is Star Wars enthusiasts who are in for a real treat on this day.

The 501st Legion UK Garrison will be coming to town and that means visitors can meet and have pictures taken with a host of characters from the famous series of films.
