WE ALL know plenty of REM songs – well we must do as there are 85 million copies of the group’s albums around the world.
The multi-award winning American rock band was formed in 1980 and enjoyed plenty of success right through until they amicably split up in 2011.
If you mention the tracks Losing My Religion, Everybody Hurts and Man on the Moon, memories of their many hit songs will come flooding back.
You can rekindle your love for REM and enjoy their music once again when tribute band REMbrandt play Live At Love Lane in Petersfield on Friday, November 24.
The tribute band was formed in 2014 and its members are a collection of old band mates and REM fanatics. From their beginnings in a tiny rehearsal space in Southampton, the band now play regularly at venues across the south coast.
The set at Live At Love Lane, which is based at Petersfield Town Football Club, will include the music of other artists too as REM played many cover songs at gigs and as B?sides on albums. The gig at Love Lane gets under way at 7.30pm. Tickets from www.seetickets.com or £6 on the door.
