MORE than 1,000 visitors made Petersfield Beer and Cider Festival Staggeringly Good in more ways than one.

Organisers really rolled out the barrel, with 40 ales and ten ciders on tap at the event on Friday and Saturday at the Festival Hall.

But it was new beer PteRedactAle from the Staggeringly Good Brewery that won the Directors’ Choice Best Brew.

Said co-organiser Ben Errey:?“It was one of the first beers to run out at the weekend as it was so popular.”

Everyone had been in good spirits and the atmosphere was “marvellous”.

“The event was a pleasure to organise and we can’t wait for the next one,” he added.

Drinkers, who came from the Petersfield area and much further afield, were treated too to a cracking live music line-up from the likes of the Mantic Muddlers, Revel Weird and Wild, Emmay and Aimee Mackenzie.
