THIS year’s Liss Christmas fair and late night shopping event was a big success, say organisers.
The event took place from 6.30pm to 8.30pm last Wednesday (December 6) and had plenty going on to entertain both adults and children, while Liss Band provided music to help add to the seasonal atmosphere.
Thirty-three stallholders lined the streets and shops were open to welcome customers old and new and wish them a happy festive season.
The event was a family-friendly evening with the opportunity to buy Christmas gifts and celebrate with mulled wine and mince pies.

Seat Leon driver wanted after dangerous getaway from police in LissKatie Kempster, who helped organise the fair, said: “It went really well.
“We had 33 stallholders in the end and we had a massive turnout.
“There was lots to do for the children, and Jiggy Wrigglers, Portsmouth Bouncy Castles and Burnett Funfair were all brilliant.
“Liss Band and Liss Community Choir both performed, and it was a really fun evening.
“I would like to thank all the stallholders and local shops which took part.”
The Triangle Centre also took part in the event and hosted more than 30 gift and game stalls, as well as serving hot refreshments.
