TEAM Buriton Challenge, who spent 24 hours walking and cycling around the village, have raised more than £4,000 for the Rosemary Foundation.
Karen White and Dean Tricker set out to raise money for the palliative care at home charity – and to shed some lockdown pounds!
Karen said: “We have blisters and aching muscles, but we were kept going by great support from people who joined us, including some Rosemary Foundation nurses (pictured), and those who cheered us on and gave us delicious treats to keep us going.
“We have raised £4,090, way beyond our expectations, but we’re not finished yet. Local artists Fran Vesey and Lynn Ashcroft have created a calendar of Buriton walks and have generously agreed to split the profits between the challenge and Buriton School.
“Thank you to Right Bike Petersfield for the bike loans, the Five Bells pub for refreshing drinks, Buriton Kebabs for fantastic food, our families and friends for their support and the many generous people who donated.”
