A HAUNTED festive production will take place as a theatrical group prepares to mark its 70th year.
Horndean Amateur Theatrical Society is preparing for its Christmas production – a comedy murder mystery.
Ghosts at the Grange by Karen Doling will be performed tomorrow (Thursday), Friday and Saturday at Merchistoun Hall in London?Road from 7.30pm.
Stuart Dickenson, from the society, said: “We put on at least three shows every year. We try to do a festive show. But this year it’s a little bit different because we are trying to branch out and get more people in.
“We have regular, very faithful audience members who always come along but we are trying to attract new and younger people as well.”
Ghosts at the Grange is a two-act comic whodunnit which focuses around Lancelot and Guinevere who are dead, and have been for 100 years. They haunt Arthur’s house, and are the only witnesses to his murder.
But how can they let his family know who committed the foul deed when nobody can hear them or see them? Tickets are £7 each.
Celebrations will be taking place next year to mark the founding of the group.
